You've got to have gears for the steampunk look! The cheapest (but not always easiest) way is to take apart a broken watch. If that's not an option - you should google search 'vintage watch parts', 'steampunk' or 'watch gears' to find good deals - sometimes they are hard to find and often you have to buy in bulk... but the prices are better.
I've got a small amount of these little steampunk kits for ya - they're just $5, but please know that it really is just a small, small amount - enough for a project or two anyway! It's gears and screws and headpins and rivets and chains in antique metal colors -- every pack is different, and I can't tell ya what you'll get in yours!
