Any ancient Aztec queen would envy you in this showy necklace. It's hard to say which is more attention-grabbing -- | ||||
| the beautiful color of the 9.5 ct. faceted emerald cradled in a dangle of swirls & 23 k gold foil, or the soaring quetzel bird winging upward from your shoulder! This necklace is made up of 8 individually sculpted pieces joined together with 18k & 22k goldfilled links & strung on 24 k gold- covered flexible steel cable. There are 5 faceted emeralds of about 2.5 - 3 ct. each as well as innumerable embellishments of peridot, carnelian, and Bali gold. You might think this piece would be hard to wear with bird wings and leafy points, but not so! It lays beautifully, and is unbelievably lightweight and quite comfortable. And of course, you know the heads you'll turn when you walk in with this one! Quetzalcoatl will be proud & all the other gods will be emerald green with envy!
